i-Métro

I have worked again on i-Métro, making it slightly easier to use with a few user interface enhancements... The Amadeus version, in particular, should now be fully compatible with Firefox.

More important, I believe (and hope) I have solved the recurring problem I had every time I updated the city files (taking hours to be effective when the service did not simply crash entirely).

Paris (works)

From next Monday, line 5 in Paris will be partially closed again in the evening for works. The temporary MetrO databases are updated.

Download the files:

Next update planned on September 5th.

Sofia

SAS offered to build a database for the trolleybus system in Sofia (Bulgaria). We started with a cyrillic version...

i-Métro

I am currently trying to improve i-Métro (the online MetrO service) and there is already a significant change: the service automatically starts with your preferred language, if your browser is correctly configured and the language itself is available in our service.

Barcelona

M. Coll reported an error on one of the RENFE lines in Barcelona (Spain).

London

A. Scott provided an additional line (the "Heathrow Connect") to reach Heathrow Airport in London (UK).

While adding that to the database, I also realized there was an error in the current version: the Thameslink lines appear twice...

MetrO 5.3.4

The new release is out. Since the problems with our domain name are not yet solved, you can download MetrO 5.3.4 and check the changes at http://chotto.free.fr/tatami/Metro. And because our troubles with our host provider are not over either, do not hesitate to use the alternate download links we provide on our home page.

We apologize again for the inconvenience(s) but we hope that the Google ads we recently added on our web site will allow us to pay for a better web hosting solution in the near future.

Problem with our domain

We have yet another problem with our web service providers: our domain (nanika.net) is not currently reachable. In the meantime, you may still access the MetrO home page at http://chotto.free.fr/tatami/Metro.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

MetrUp 1.2.0

You can now download version 1.2.0 of the MetrO online updater (MetrUp), which is (at last) compatible with the Palm LifeDrive. Additionally, the program now comes in a single file: you can (and should) remove the old HTTP Library from your device.

Download the new version HERE.

MetrO online update

I discovered a problem on our online update service (accessible from MetrUp on PalmOS devices or directly from MetrO on other devices): on rare occasions it could update a file with garbage, rendering it completely useless.

The problem is now fixed.

London (special)

According to the TfL web site, the tube service is now fully restored in London (UK). Consequently, the special version of our database is discontinued and you should now use the regular file (London-tourist.pdb) again.

I hope the special release has been helpful to you!

Problems with blogger.com

You may have noticed incomplete entries on this blog in the past hours. It looks like blogger.com has some trouble and randomly cuts out some stuff from my short texts...
Sorry for this :-(

London (special)

If I understand correctly the information from the TfL, the tube service in London is almost back to normal, with the only exception being the Circle line running only at peak hours on weekdays.

Download the updated file here.
