London

Station Shepherd's Bush (Central line) in London (England) has reopened but it looks like a lot more changes are required on our database:
- Station Wood Lane opened on the Hammersmith & City line;
- Station Shepherd's Bush on the Hammersmith & City line has been renamed to Shepherd's Bush Market;
- Station Tower Gateway on the DLR is closed until April 2009;
- No interchange is possible at Bank & Monument except between the DLR and the Northern line.

I still have some doubts about the Wood Lane opening and the extent of the interchange limitations at Bank & Monument (do they mean between Bank & Monument or all interchanges?): if someone could provide details, I would be able to publish new files without risking making big mistakes. Thanks in advance!

  1. London Reconnections reports that Wood Lane opened this past weekend, on schedule.

    TfL's posted a PDF of their flyer on the Monument/Bank interchange situation. It says "The route between Monument station and the DLR will close. Bank and Monument will effectively operate as two separate stations." They also recommend avoiding changing trains at Bank and offer many substitute connections. The Wikipedia entry on the station complex asserts that "in practice, it is still possible to interchange between all lines". I am unfortunately not on the correct continent to verify this in person.
